Join the Dream Builder Club today with an auto monthly donation and build lives! Joining the Club invests in  your community by building and preserving decent, affordable homes in the San Juan region…and it gives back to YOU as well!

Become a Dream Builder for as little as $10/month and receive discounts at the ReStore, Habitat goodies and loads of good karma.  Start at $25/month and you’ll receive tickets to our amazing events as well!  You can set up your donation as an equal, automatic amount each month so you don’t even have to think about it.  Your benefits kick in right away.

Schedule a pick-up

We offer free donation pick-up service for the following counties: Montrose, Ouray and San Miguel county. If you live outside of these areas, please contact our office at 970-252-9304 ext. 8.

Our pick-up service is reserved for gently used furniture and building materials donations too large to fit in a car or truck.

Do bring smaller boxed items to the ReStore drop-off donation location at 1601 N. Townsend Ave Montrose, Co 81401. In store donation drop-offs hours are Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm.

Donations we cannot accept: 

  • Any item that has stains, holes, smoke or animal smells, or is incomplete
  • Particle board furniture: includes bookcases, desks, and entertainment centers
  • Books & Magazines
  • TVs / Screens: includes all tube-style, projection, flat screen, as well as laptop computers. (Newer less than 5 years old flat-screen televisions may be accepted on a per-case basis).
  • Used paint
  • Household chemicals
  • Window blinds
  • Broken, damaged, incomplete furniture, including cribs missing parts
  • Car seats
  • Water beds
  • Wet, dirty clothing
  • Vehicle tires

City Market Community Rewards

You can give by simply using your City Market reward card like you do everyday – with no cost to you!  With every eligible purchase, a portion will be donated to back to us, you continue receiving all of the discounts and gas points as you did before.

Planned or Legacy Giving

Planned gifts, such as bequests or charitable trusts, can be a strategic and profitable way to provide for a future, charitable gift.  It’s a beneficial way to care for yourself, your loved ones and your local community by allocating a portion of your planned gift to Habitat for Humanity of Montrose County.  Planned, or Legacy Giving can entitle you to charitable income and/or gift, or estate tax deductions, and enables you to leave a legacy that continues to builds lives.

Endowment

Endowments are a great way for nonprofits to insure that funding never goes away!  Endowments can be ANY type of giving: out right cash, real estate, life insurance, trusts, you name it.  The difference in this giving is that the principle never leaves the account.  This means your donation amount always stays in the fund, and the 5% interest accrued is available for Habitat of Montrose County.

Corporate Partnerships

Corporations, organizations and faith-based groups large and small support us in a number of ways:

Sponsoring a house, sending volunteers for team building, providing in-kind services and materials and/or sponsoring of special events.

A corporate partner may choose to sponsor a house at the full, 50 percent, or partial ($10,000) level.

Local companies send employees to work at building sites to foster a stronger sense of working together for a common cause. Corporate house sponsors are eligible for team building days. Team building days are also available to non-sponsoring groups on a limited basis.

Many religious organizations support our work through prayer, volunteering to help build homes and house sponsorship.
